Especially, Terry. She was the sweetest lady. However, this place is very tiny and less than 12 tables. She only had a few.. we waited on her several times to fulfill request. Such as napkins and water. She was very overwhelmed. And there were other servers. The place was hot...not a good environment to drink warm tea. We noticed they only had one window air conditioning unit. We heard the table of ladies next to us complain about how hot it was in there. The food was ok. The best of it was the decadent creamy tomato bisque. The scones were beyond dry. The sandwiches were tasteless. The cute pastries were good. However , we paid $26.00 per person for high tea. It was extremely small portions. Not worth the money. You expect small petite selections but at least a decent amount...I've been to tea rooms that you walk away satisfied, not stuffed. This However, was not the case. We were still hungry. The 3 half sandwiches to share is a bit skimpy. Two pastries a person that are micro cute and one scone each. That's fine for 1 person.... not for two to share. But we did each get a cup of our own soup.. the place is very loud. Do to the size. The gift shop is adorable.... the bathroom is very cute and clean. But bring plenty of money. The experience was dissapointing.. I doubt if I will go again.
We come every year for Christmas in July. Even though I am a picky eater, I always love sampling the delicious themed foods. In addition, they have the best warm scones anywhere! The service is always great and the owners are delightful. The only drawback is it can get very loud and hot, but that won't stop me from coming!Parking: There are only a couple or tight spots out front , but if you drive around to the back behind the flower shop there is plenty of parking.
While I drink tea, my wife really enjoys it, so as an early Mother's Day gift, I took her to Tea by Two for the Tea Sweets special. My wife had a hot tea, while I had an iced chocolate mint tea, which was very good. We each got a plate of goodies, including a small lemon tart, a raspberry bar, a brownie, and a large scone, still warm from the oven. All of these treats were very good, and I'll admit I enjoyed the tea and treats more than I thought I would. The service was very good, and the price was reasonable.
Great place to visit right in the heart of Bel Air! Purchased several bags of tea that made for great gifts for some good friends and family members. I know they really enjoyed them. We will definitely be back!
I have lunch with my mother-in-law every other week and we take turns choosing the place we go. She chose this place because it is one of her favorites. I know why, it is such a treat to go there. The only issue I have is that the seating is very crowded, I'm sure it is because they had no idea they would be so fab that word of mouth travels and now everyone knows what a wonderful place this is to visit. Your dining is literally an experience and it's a positive one. It's a calming atmosphere and quiet, really nice time and we will def be going back for many years to come.
