When MFK used to be located in Buena Park, their food was so good. We are from the Bay Area and it was always a stop over for me and my family. Since they moved MFK to Bellflower, the quality of their food has gone down tremendously. At first we thought it's probably a different cook so we gave it a few chances. Yesterday, was one of the last chances. How do you screw up rice? We bought 4 bowls of different meals, 2 lechon kawali, chicken, bbq, and sisig. The rice was raw and even one of the bowls is garlic rice. They just sprinkled garlic to the uncooked rice and mixed it up. It was bad. I hope the original cook comes back so we can enjoy their food again.
Had the sisig plate and the chicken inasal. While it took a while to get our food, it was worth the wait. You could tell they took their time preparing, because the presentation and the taste was A ! Sisig was crispy and the inasal was made perfectly. Definitely will be coming back!
This place is a little stand at the bellflower steel craft. They charge for water. Weird. Also, I got a $2 can on mango juice for my son so the total was $2.15 and they don't accept cash. Weird again. I had to charge it on my visa.
I came here on a Wednesday night close to their closing time since I was craving Filipino food. It was convenient to see that this place was located inside a SteelCraft so there was plenty of parking. I ordered the chicken inasal bowl with garlic rice but since it was almost closing time, they had ran out of garlic rice. My chicken inasal was flavorful and the sauce was good. My significant other got the liempo pork belly bowl with an egg and that was delicious as well. The prices were relatively reasonable was well...it was $30 for both our bowls with some tip (we were the last customers for the night). Highly recommend if you're looking for a Filipino food fix.
