Chinarestaurant Sun Wah - Berlin

This Chinese restaurant is located right in old Tegel. it is the first place in a long range of restaurants. My accompaniment and I just wanted to eat a little bit at noon. 15.00 and the menu was very promising. So we were greeted in and immediately friendly and led to a table. Then we got a plaumenlikör(? and the mood became even better than we saw the prices. No lunch table included soup and fruit salad for over 10 €. Well, at the prices you should not ask too much we thought and ordered once duck and once twice baked beef. The soup was a little flat but there are also spices ready for it and then it became very tasty by some sharpness. The main dishes were both very good, with the beef being even better than the duck. The portions were good, but fortunately not so big that you can't make them. I'm not a fan of XXL portion! The dessert was fruit salad from the can, at the price it was no different to expect and with the invoice came another liqueur. We felt comfortable, the food was good, and the one star I pulled off because of the fruit salad and because of the flat soup.

Ambience: Nice, pleasant, white tablecloths, good chairs service: noticeable, very polite, yes has what, quiet, very well understandable So 3 colleagues and I enter the shop to eat Chinese. Lunch card, 16 positions between 6 and 9 euros, soup dessert. Right at the beginning there is a plum mannap, well, nice but little tasty. Soup: Sauer Scharf was less soup but rather towards tasty stew The meat cheese soup was as faded in the broth as the meatball. Category: Warm, but sweet 4 different lunches. Standard vegetables, standard meat, nothing special, sauce total glutamate so much that the sauce already formed glutamate. Nothing but nothing that would be a reason to remain in memory, have tried all the dishes, has also tasted everything the same. Congratulations, you have to make it first. Category: Lieblos, Liebloser, the most beloved The dessert: fruit salad alla 70 or 80s, from the can. Really from the can, what a culinary experience. Result: A time travel is possible here, enter and travel 30 40 years to the past. When leaving the restaurant you will find yourself in the 21st century. Conclusion: Chinese yes, but is an insult to the original Chinese cuisine. European Chinese: Yes, description meets, but due to glutamate everything has the same taste. Are we coming back? No, once and never again.

For decades we have been visiting this restaurant. After the new opening in Alt-Tegel 4, we've been there three times. The food still tastes super delicious, our body dish is the Pak Po duck for two people!!! There are sour cream soup as an appetizer, which is unique...I could put in every time! As a main course you get different meat types with plenty of mixed vegetables and a crusty duck on top... so here I would recommend everyone!

Since the Tegel Center is rebuilt, all shop owners had to soften. So also the China Restaurant SUN WAH. The owners wanted to try to stay close. You did it. The new rooms are bright and friendly as well as the furnishings. Everything looks a little more modern. And in front of the restaurant you have the opportunity to sit outdoors and eat. Prices have become minimally more expensive. The food is still very good and rich. The staff is attentive and kind. It's nice to see the SUN WAH again at new address.

On 24.6.2016 we were back in Berlin. Unfortunately much too rare, but a visit to Berlin always includes food going in the Sun Wah . The food is excellent, the staff very friendly, the menu very detailed and the ambience cozy. You feel right here. I have to say that we have been here for over 30 years when the Sun Wah was opened in the Tegel Center. We will always return here and can only recommend this restaurant!
