Santa Maria - Berlin

We went here on my brother-in-law's suggestion and it was great. I really enjoyed the Alambre de Verduras that was served with chickpea tofu(Burmese tofu). The flavours were great. It was super crowded so we had to wait for a table for about 20 minutes(we were 6), but it was worth it. The cocktails are also tasty!

We went for Taco Tuesday, which is a great deal 1.50 for each taco (choice of chicken, beef or potato). They are fairly small so we had guac to start (also small portion) My son had 2 each of the meat tacos, I'm vegan so had 3 of the potato ones. Mine were fairly bland to be honest, but my son liked his. Apparently they also have vegan chorizo but I don't like fake meats so didn't try it. I'd have been happier with regular veggie tacos but it was an ok price and everything was fresh.Its a small restaurant and very busy so get there early. Happy hour cocktails are between 7 and 9pm, we just missed it as had to wait around an hour for a table

Entramos porque creíamos que era barato, pero 3 minitacos valen 8/9 €. Al margen del precio que es medio; pedimos unos tacos al llegar para comenzar a cenar y a los diez minutos queríamos pedir algo más y solicitamos el menú, para nuestra sorpresa la camarera nos trae la cuenta y nos dice que la cocina está cerrada... Nos quedamos con la boca abierta y el estómago vacío. No puedes cerrar la cocina y no avisar a unos clientes que han entrado 10 min antes para cenar. La comida no es de gran calidad.

Wir sind Wiederholungstäter und gehen hier her, so oft wir es schaffen. Uns schmeckt das Essen ausgesprochen gut. Meistens essen wir Chilaquiles oder Quesadillas. Der Service ist nett und immer im Stress, da es hier abends immer proppenvoll ist. Wir werden hier noch öfters einkehren, weiter so.

I was so excited to discover this place, as we live in Stockholm and Mexican food is lacking there. Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. I had enchiladas (amazing!) and he had a burrito (also very good) but the highlight was their margaritas! I had one with Tamarind and it was awesome! Highly recommend!
