My son, who is a vegetarian, really enjoyed his brownie. My sandwich was decent, but I think I'll try a different one on my next visit. We're planning to come back on a sunny day and sit in the beautiful garden next time!
We were very happy that we checked out HappyCow before visiting Holy Island. We initially thought we would just grab some chips somewhere, but we ended up enjoying oat milk flat whites with house coffee (which was amazing), Jamaican Tofu ciabatta paninis, and delicious raw cheesecake and flapjack. The restaurant had a great style with lots of plants and outdoor seating. It was fantastic to have a well-planned vegan menu in such a remote location!
I found this restaurant to be a great discovery in an area with limited vegan options. They offer a variety of vegan items including soup, paninis, salad, and cake, as well as oat milk for drinks. During my visit, my dad enjoyed the courgette soup with soya cream while I tried the jackfruit panini with vegan cheese and slaw, which was the best jackfruit I've ever had. The fruity flapjack I had for dessert was incredibly moist and flavorful. They also had a range of interesting vegetarian and meat options, all clearly labeled and reasonably priced. I wish I lived closer so I could dine here more often!
We've been here a number of times before but our most recent visit was really disappointing. We queued for ages to order our jackfruit paninis only for a member of staff to drop one on the floor it was the last one and the only other vegan option was salad. The only vegan cake was flapjack and the coffees were served in plastic beakers. Service wasn't great either. Shame.
Really nice little coffee and lunch place with a big garden. Was lovely in sunny weather. There were 2 vegan lunch option, 2 dessert options and oat milk. Unfortunately they had a brownie that was made with vegan ingredients but then had eggwash on the top. They also sold vegan sweets and cookies.
