Bangkok Resto - Béziers

We were staying in Bezier for one night and fancied a Chinese. This was close to where we were staying and had the best reviews of all the Chinese in the area. We were sadly left very disappointed! On arrival the restaurant looked closed as the windows were blacked out however we tried the door and the four of us went in. The restaurant was completely empty of customers, never a good sign and the owner was stood behind the bar. I speak French fairly fluently so requested a table for four and he just looked at us like we were aliens invading his planet! He gestured to a table and we sat. The restaurant itself looked clean and tidy. He produced some menus for us and asked if we would like drinks. I gave a drinks order however having also pointed to the wine we had chosen he went off to fetch his wife as he couldn't see the menu properly. I again pointed to a bottle of Rose wine and ordered a pint of beer and a coke. When the wine arrived it was red, same name, different colour!!! We therefore sent it back and eventually received our long awaited rose. The menu was limited to say the least however we ordered four dishes, rice and noodles. When it arrived the portions were extremely small, one dish looked very oily, none of them very hot and all completely tasteless! To our surprise a French couple arrived, ordered two dishes and some noodles. Their food was piping hot as you could see the steam and the portion of noodles must have been six times that of ours. We asked for the bill which came to €60 so offered a card. No cards!!! He then fetched the menu and rudely pointed out the small print on the back page and said there was a bank over the road. We actually scrambled enough cash together to pay the bill, no tip added, and as we left he took us outside and again pointed to a small sign in amongst many others stating no card payments. We did not make it a problem as we had cash, however he found it to be a problem that we hadn't initially noticed this and personally I found him to be extremely rude. I just believe he didn't want English people in his restaurant whether we spoke French or not no wonder he was so quiet..... We left hungry and disappointed so went back to the Irish pub and ordered chicken wings and chips just the job!!!

From the outside, it doesn't look much, BUT, the food is delicious, the prices more than reasonable and while Monsieur manages front of house in a charming way, Madame cooks, everything is freshly prepared, definitely home cooked, the portions are ample. There is also an excellent take-away service! We took friends with us, they were delighted. Definitely a must in Beziers.

I just discovered this restaurant and i am pleasantly surprised! the dishes are excellent and the owners are very warm! after the attempt of the various asian restaurants in the city, i finally found the best in beziers! and also the prices are more than correct less than 40 euro for 2). i thank the bossen again for the pleasant evening we have spent! we come back! original) I just discovered this restaurant and I am pleasantly surprised! Un petit resto traditionnel, très sympa, où la food est faite au fur et à mesure. Alors, évidemment, ça prend plus de temps que de réchauffer au micro-ondes, mais on mange un vrai plat cuisiné et copieux. Le prix est raisonnable, le dienenur sympa...une bonne adresse.
