Best Place for Hot Dogs!. This is the best little secret in Birmingham for Hot Dogs. Sorry Gus, but this is the best place for dogs! I come here at least 3-4 times to get my chili dog fix. I had the Hamburger here and was not real satisfied but the dog is king here. Wish they had fries but you can get chips which is fine. Going to Jimmys will remind you of hot dog places that no longer exist in Birmingham any longer. The food is great and offers several choices besides hot dogs and hamburgers with daily specials. It is family owned and operated by Janice and Gary Cooley who will usually remember your order if you go in often enough. Holly and Savannah always greet you with a smile and are genuinely friendly towards all customers. Sadly I was told this will all end just before Christmas since an unscrupulous landlord is pushing them out apparently not wanting the competition.So visit while you can since we will soon have to say goodbye to not only a quick good lunch but to a great group of people as well. I will miss them.
