The Old Contemptibles - Birmingham

I love this pub. very friendly and welcoming with a large selection. the food is fabulous and definitiw worth money. we are here at many places and will continue to visit when we are in the city. highly recommended.

Great atmosphere. Went on a Friday night and somehow they've managed to pull off the trick of having a very busy half and a more spacious half. Very clever. And even though they were busy I got served within a couple of minutes each time. And parking right outside after 7.30 was free! Excellent place to meet up with friends next time I'll try the food. Highly recommended!

This is as proper traditional pub as you can get and a great advert for the city. Nice history as well when I asked one of the staff who kindly took the time to explain a few things. For us it’s regular stop off every time we go into Birmingham. Super friendly staff and always good atmosphere. Did I also mention the great selection of beers and spirits on offer too

Called into this pub for a bite to eat with my friend whilst out in Birmingham. From outside we weren’t sure what to expect, but wow loved the way the inside looks. It’s fabulously dressed with hops and old wood. Really creates a great atmosphere. We both ordered food and few glasses of wine later, we had a fabulous afternoon here. Compliments to the kitchen on my food, I think it’s the best chicken salad I’ve ever eaten out. Looked like a high end restaurant meal. Just wow! We shall most definitely return and tell all our friends. Thanks to all.

Great atmosphere, fun pub , not pretentious but amazing architecture. Guinness is very well kept! Well looked after with pretty hanging baskets and plenty of outdoor seating
