Lovely place to spend your afternoon with children. Close to nature. Playground area isn't massive but it is quite unique, more wood and rope than metal and plastic. Nearby you can introduce your little ones to horses if you haven't already. Well worth visiting.
Great day out on hottest day of 2023! Plenty of parking, not too crowded, clean and a real rural feel. The lake is large and walking was very pleasant even in the heat. Nice playground for the kids.
The countryside can't be faulted, the play area is good, but the visitors centre is closed what a waste the farm is closed with no animals, just the horses from the stables out. This site is missing g out on such alot if footfall because if that, but still worth the lovely walks. Does have picnic tables available.
Woodgate Valley Country Park is a wonderful place to visit for a peaceful escape from the busy city. It's a safe and family-friendly destination with ample space for various activities like walking, running, cycling, and bird-watching. The park boasts stunning landscapes, including woodlands, meadows, and streams, which make it an ideal spot for nature lovers. Although the park is well-maintained, I couldn't give it five stars because I noticed some of the trees need better care and pruning. It would be great if the Birmingham City Council could be more disciplined in this aspect. However, this minor issue doesn't detract from the overall beauty and serenity of the park. Overall, Woodgate Valley Country Park is an excellent place to visit with family and friends, and I highly recommend it. The park's natural beauty and safety make it a great destination for anyone looking to work out in nature, and I will definitely be returning soon.
