Jaflong Indian Takeaway - Blackpool

The delivery driver has left me shaken up. I have spent all day in hospital today and the last thing I needed to do was face the abuse from this delivery driver. I am disabled so it takes me a while to get to the door but he wouldn’t stop banging on the door. I am tired from being in hospital and he launched an abusive attack on me accusing me of not picking up my phone then I remembered that I need to update my new phone number. He kept saying that it was late at night and it is true it’s late my daughter is in bed but he kept banging the door. I nearly tripped getting to the door fast enough. To be faced with a load of abuse. I said I won’t order from you again and he said “good, don’t order from us again” I was polite and nice to him apart from saying that I won’t order again from him. I didn’t want trouble or an argument. I felt extremely vulnerable as he is a big man and I’m only little and female not expecting a fully grown man to be so abusive. I am thoroughly shaken up. I treated myself to an Indian after spending all day in hospital. I already am depressed, anxious and feeling vulnerable and I didn’t need to be threatened by this man.

It’s a very small curry house in Blackpool. I do visit them regularly and customised my curry every time. They are quite busy all time but I don’t mind to wait while they cook curry for me. Recommend curries are Lamb nihari if you like otherwise supreme chicken I love most from them.

Decided to order from here on a Friday night. Ordered on their website and they estimated an hour to have the food delivered. After two calls, one a hour and a half later, then one almost 2 hours later the food arrived. We paid £41 for 3 main dishes, 2 rice and one naan. The food was warm, not hot and the amount of chicken in the dishes was really poor. Looking at the other reviews on here maybe this was just a one off, but there are better more value for money Indian Takeaways in Blackpool.

Great value well cooked meal, the masala could do with less coconut, other than that the rest was lovely for the money.

Really nice food. My mum is really fussy has tried many local restaurants and not enjoyed them at all but said this was the best curry she’d had in a long time. Ordered a special that wasn’t on the menu and it was no problem at all. Food arrived hot. Good value. Would recommend
