When we lived in Edmonton and took many weekend trips to Victoria, the Husky Station on the Blue River was where we would consider a meal break, a little gas and a short break. Husky stations were reliable truck stops with good food and some protection from cold. Apparently this is not true in Blue River. It was the worst food of our trip. I had a simple dish of chips and engraving, but the chips were barely cooked and the engraving was an old powder mix. It was quite revolting. Marla had a piece of chocolate mousse cake that was more like an old pudding. Okay, I'll cut them off a little and say that was the Monday of a long weekend, but this piece of cake was more than four or five days old. It was kind of rough. Next time we go through Blue River I will look for an alternative.
