The Daily Kitchen is just the type of place that you dream about finding. A basic yet elevated menu, priced affordably, independently owned and ran by wonderful person and in a unique, yet very accessible space.I was able to wander in and have a great conversation with the owner while being the only one in the space while she prepared my meatloaf sandwich.This was one of the best meatloaf sandwiches ever! She said she uses sourdough bread as a binder and boy does it produce a wonderfully crumbly patty. Topped with caramelized onions, cheese, house made pickles and a BBQ Mayo on a soft buttered roll. At only $8.50 this may be my succulent bargain of the year!I'm very eager to return and try a lot more of the luncheon menu and take home a container of those pickles! She deserves a packed diningroom and Kitchen Daily

The food was excellent and fresh, made with quality ingredients. It was well worth it to order the meal combos to enjoy the flavored lemonade, which we cannot recommend highly enough (particularly the lavender flavor), as well as the chickpea salad. The lady who ran the kitchen was super kind and made us feel very welcome, talking to us and giving us recommendations for how to enjoy our time in KC.
