Sanshan - Bolton

This was the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had. I ordered a 10 inch starter box which was supposed to contain a mixture of starters. Sesame prawn on toast, pancake rolls, dry spare ribs, salt and pepper chicken and salt pepper chips and a tub of curry at £2.50. What we got was 2 prawn on toast, 4 pancake rolls, no spare ribs, chicken balls the size of my thumb nail 2 small battered pieces of chicken and vast amount of chips to make up the box. We also got a few slices of thin onion and green pepper. No sight of any chillies that was supposed to be the salt and pepper of the box. I had to ring them up and tell them we had no spare ribs, they said they had a new chef and they would send me some, which they did. All this for the princely sum of £28. The worst £28 I have ever spent. Needless to say we will never be ordering from Sansham ever again

I do not recommend this restaurant at all. The food was absolutely disgusting. We spent over £30 on two meals including prawn toast and spring rolls. The crispy chilli beef did not contain any beef and was served in a sweet red sauce that made it inedible. The special fried rice had barely any chicken strips and a few mysterious darker strips. The pork was unidentifiable and definitely not special. Overall, the food was awful and it's better to get Chinese food from McDonald's. Our evening was completely ruined.

The portion sizes were disappointing at this restaurant. The crispy duck was dry and lacking in meat, the chicken fried rice had hardly any chicken, the chips were overcooked, and the prawn toast was lacking in prawns. The only saving grace was the tasty noodles. Overall, I will not be ordering from this place again. Warning to others!

After a break of 12 months, due to ordering a delivery for 7:30 pm and it turned up an hour early, decided to give them another chance. They need someone who can tell the time. Requested for 7:40pm arrived at 6:45. No more chances.

I am extremely disappointed with the food at this restaurant! The menu has been changed and when I ordered a mixed starter for two, they told me it does not come with sauce. I also ordered prawn toast which did not come with sweet and sour sauce. The starters were dry and flavorless, with the beef being tough and inedible. The portion sizes are small and do not come with rice. The beef and mushroom dish was slimy and had too much MSG. I do not recommend ordering from here at all. Overall, the experience was disgusting.
