The Surf Club Bribie Island - Bongaree

I recently had the pleasure of taking my Mother to lunch here. We were able to sit on the deck with fabulous views of Moreton Island and enjoy a delicious lunch. I've been here before a few times and enjoy coming back. The beer is cold and the food is delicious. There is a great range of food from small snacks to large meals. Make sure you are hungry if you order a large meal - there's plenty of food. I've never had enough room for dessert so can't comment on them but if the rest of the food is something to go by they should be delicious.

Unprepared to make a slight food change to accommodate a dietary need. Very inflexible attitude, they have a this is what we do approach. Take it or leave it. Very archaic attitude.

Decided to explore Bribie Island. Surf club was very busy for a Saturday lunch, thought it must be good! Service was fine. Nice decor. Food marginal. Fish and chips and salad under seasoned. Caesar salad with Sichuan calamari very disappointing. No spice, no seasoning even in the salad. Could be a great spot with better food. My tartar sauce was master foods squeeze on....so easy to make and would have shown a little love!
