The Mallard - Boston

Spent several evenings in the mallard.nice p[ace friendly staff.well worth a visit.if you are using the westwood lodges.seems to be popular with the afternoon ladies who lunch.

Took the grandchildren for an afternoon tea treat, been a few times for a drink always been fairly relaxed atmosphere today was the first Saturday lunch time visit and not relaxing at all lots of gents making quite a bit of noise. Afternoon tea was ok the cake was very dry couldn’t eat the carrot cake and the mousse in the little pots wasn’t that pleasant. I’ve had a couple of afternoon teas here before and in my opinion they were better than today’s. Staff seemed to be dashing around all the time not stopping at all in the time we were there, table service was definitely making them work hard.

My family loved it here, they enjoyed a Afternoon tea and then had a couple of hours sampling the gins on another occasion, My wife said they were great , she had a lemon one, a strawberry one , a passion fruit one and a you mist come next time one ,,,, and the rest is history leaving me to write her update, a perfect holiday treat and a perfect wife creche while you go out fishing

Held a birthday gathering here such a lovely atmosphere the staff are very friendly nothing was to much trouble. There was around 60 of us with two ladies on the bar and they were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place if you want some where for a small party. We have in the past been for afternoon tea and enjoyed it.

Went to The Mallard for a family Birthday gathering.It’s a lovely pub set in the tranquil surroundings of Westwood Lakes.The staff were so friendly,helpful and hard working.The buffet was good value for money and plentiful.Well done The Mallard and thank you.
