I had to repeat myself multiple times, often met with long, awkward silences before either of us spoke again. I specifically requested that my wrap be toasted, and she confirmed she understood, or so I thought. Upon arriving to pick up the order, I noticed an unmarked car in the parking lot. A young worker was taking out the trash and went behind the counter without washing his hands afterward. As soon as I entered, I was hit by a strong odor reminiscent of damp, stagnant water—similar to the smell of laundry left in the washer too long. The interior looked clean but felt cluttered and dark. There were no diners, but several people were waiting for their orders. The woman who took my order was not wearing a mask for most of our exchange. After returning to the campground, I inspected my order. The BLT wrap was poorly assembled and not folded properly, making it hard to eat. While the inside was warm, the outside was ice-cold and, disappointingly, not toasted as I had requested. To make matters worse, the bacon was actually crumbled sausage, like the kind typically found on pizza. It wasn't terrible, but it was far from what I ordered. The fries were clearly frozen, the kids' meal was basic and also frozen, and my husband’s stromboli was disappointingly small for the price, leaving him still hungry. Overall, the experience was frustrating—from the initial phone call to the subpar meals we received. I really wanted to like this place since it’s so close to our campsite, but I would happily drive over 10 miles for a decent meal. I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.
I really enjoyed a uniquely different pizza. It was quite filling but absolutely delicious. Although the salads and appetizers were impressive, the pizza was truly the highlight of the meal.
They're improving! I'm not sure if there are new staff in the kitchen or if they've changed their ingredients, but I definitely recommend the white pizza!
I'm seeing a lot of low ratings, but we had some pizza from there today and it was way better than we expected. We were in Bowmansville for the day and my dad usually orders from there. He says they have a decent pie. We are from New York City and we are pretty snobbish about our pizza but we were pleasantly Surprised at the quality of Bella Italias pizza. We had two plain pies and one pepperoni. Both were of good quality. We also orders two chicken parm subs or hero's which were on delicious Italian bread, but it wasn't a fresh chicken cutlet it was more like a chicken finger. Still not disappointed with it because it was better than we expected. We didn't sit to eat but while I waited for the order I looked at their beer selection and it seemed like a decent amount of craft beers for such a small bar. There were lots of tables, which were empty, and a small bar for about 8. But it seemed like a very steady flow for takeout. At least 5 orders were being picked up when I got there. It was a little slow, but being Good Friday I expect a pizzeria to be busy.
Good chicken tenders Cheese fries were okay Italian sub didn't have a lot of meat on it Calzone was good Trying the pizza tonight
