Sweet and a Sour Fried Pork is good. The Salt and Pepper Prawns are very fresh and is recommended. Overall a decent meal and I appreciated the fragrant Pu-Erh Tea.<br/ <br/ With... Phuong Tran
Seafood this place definitely has. Although make sure you have cash cause the “card price” is $10+ more.<br/ <br/ The scallops were very fresh, and the mud crab was cooked well at $58/kg my understanding is you can pick the way to cook it, and if you choose with vermicelli (what we got) or add egg yolk then it’s $15 more.<br/ <br/ It was a nice touch to get complimentary soup to start off with, along with melon slice and sweet dessert soup after they take away the mains. Definitely above average place you should try if you want some fancy mud crab or fresh fish.
The closing down of its sibling which mainly focused in serving Yum Cha Fortitude Valley near the Emporium sets the alarm to review the trading strategy of this restaurant. In order to survive among the terrible competitions around, a new lunch special menu had been come out for a while. Generous offers on the lunch menu provide lots of foods, including congee, rice, noodles soup and fried noodles. for customers to choose from. <br/ <br/ Explored it yesterday and ordered a chicken congee and a dish of shredded roast duck with vermicelli. Honestly, service has improved a lot with very attentive attitude. Our orders came to the table very quick. Portions are reasonable. Congee is tasteful and chicken fillets are passable. Hero should be the other dish of shredded duck with vermicelli. There are more than enough shredded roasted duck meats in the dish. Importantly, the taste is very delicious, which is perfectly matched with the congee. For a set price of $9.80 including Chinese tea for each dish, it should be a win win situation to the restaurant and the customers. Thumb-up!<br/ <br/ July 2018 Rating 4/5<br/ <br/ Time is flying and my last review of this restaurant has been nearly three years. For the past few years, I witness the growth of business of this near-by-work restaurant. Went to have dinner in group of five last night. Service was friendly and attentive. Ordered the Mud Crab set dinner for six. First came to the table was the house-made soup, which was rich and flavourable (4/5). Next was the pork ribs with slat pepper. Taste was right but batter was too thick (3/5). The hero mub crab came next, which was full and sauce with ginger and shallot was rich and tasteful (4.5/5). Steamed oyster with ginger and shallot came with very large and fresh oyster in shell, which was well done (4/5). Roast duck was also outstanding, crispy skin with tenderised meat, thumb-up (4.5/5) Chinese vegetable with high soup was refreshing (3.5/5). Steamed silver perch was done perfectly (4/5). Melon of the after-dinner fruit platter won lots of 'LIKE '. Overall, i can see the improvement of this restaurant and wish them all the best in the future.<br/ <br/ July 07, 2015 Rating 3.5/5<br/ <br/ Price war on 'lunch special ' is not limited to Korean restaurants. I tried the Suncorp at Sunnybank Plaza and ordered a dish of Combination Fried Ho Fan which is only $9.80 with free drink of your choices. Service is friendly and attentive. I can see the passion from the chef and the taste of Ho Fan is nice. Moreover, I discover that they are currently promoting new dishes of Chaozhou cuisine. I would come back to try them one day.
Went here with the parents for a late night weekend dinner. We were promptly greeted and seated, with arrivals of tea, bowls and cutlery.<br/ <br/ We ordered white rice to share, as well as:<br/ Fried sole: crispy, fried fish; be careful of bones.<br/ Green asian vegetables: simple gai lan with black bean sauce.<br/ Half roast duck: generous portions of meaty roast duck; not too salty either.<br/ We were presented with complimentary warm broth as a starter, which was flavourful and delicious.<br/ After our meals, we were also presented with complimentary fresh watermelon pieces and coconut tapioca pudding. A great finish!<br/ <br/ Very friendly and efficient service. Reasonable prices. Casual ambience.<br/ <br/ Overall, a solid Chinese restaurant to bring the family/friends.
Food in Suncorp is very tasty, they know how to cook good seafood. In addition, the service is great. Which I find it's hard to in among Chinese restaurants here. <br/ <br/ Will definitely come back.
