Disappointing breakfast. All of our parties poached eggs were way overcooked (solid yolks inside) and they didn’t offer to rectify when I pointed this out to the waitress soon after the breakfasts arrived. Also the toast was soggy with water from the eggs. When I payed I pointed this out again and although the staff member apologised they didn’t offer a discount, they did say they would tell the kitchen. On the whole I got the impression that they didn’t really seem to care which was annoying. Such a shame as we have been regular visitors in the past but I don’t think we will return.

I met up with a group of friends to explore different coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The location was stunning and the service was excellent. The food and drinks were good as well. Definitely worth a visit, although it may be a bit tricky to find as it is tucked away down a little side street.

A great spot overlooking the river and weir. Delicious English breakfast and coffee, served by friendly, polite and helpful staff.

We had a lovely breakfast on the deck overlooking the river, the quality of the breakfast was first rate, all the ingredients were beautifully cooked and the service was warm and friendly. It was lovely to have dry plate, no grease, no water from the poached egg, highly recommend, booking essential though!!

A Fiasco! Thé lunches on offer are, by enlarge, packed with carbohydrates: I could barely see my chicken amongst the chips and pitta! Service is not particularly good, with staff rushing around, tables not properly cleaned… Lovely location, but I think we will sit by the river with a picnic next time!
