The bed was super comfortable and large and the curtains blocked out all light so I had a great night's sleep. Dinner was very enjoyable and of a good quality. Breakfast was fine, although the coffee could have been a bit better. I would certainly stay here again.
1st red flag was on arrival when they had lost my booking. Second red flag was seeing the extensive menu which is always a sign of food not being fresh. Third red flag being told of 40 min wait and feeling abandoned by staff who where friendly at least. We all had Roast dinners which looked and felt like a school dinner, there are no other ways to describe it. Large carpark.
I had sausage and mash with onion gravy for dinner. How can you get this meal so wrong. Anaemic sausages, mash potato so rigid you could cut it with a knife and watery gravy with onions. Why didn't I complain, I ask myself the same question.
Beautiful pub. We popped in whilst riding the Peddars away (we took a detour) and it was beautiful, lovely interior, proper publy! Spoke to the owner of the pub and she was lovely, would recommend to anyone wanting a quick drink or food, however I haven’t tired the food but I am sure it is great!
Beautiful location with great gardens, ample parking and friendly staff. The menu was huge and we had to wait a little while but the food was nicely presented and good portions.
