However, we discovered that this cafe, which used to be in the market, has now relocated to a precinct area just outside of it. We both opted for the all day breakfast for £4, which included bacon, sausage, egg, hash brown, beans or tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, and a mug of tea or coffee. For an additional £1, we could have added another egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown, and a slice of black pudding. The cafe was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. If we ever find ourselves back in Maesteg, we would definitely consider returning here.
We stumbled upon this hidden gem in Maesteg Market Hall and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely atmosphere. Initially planning to just grab a cup of tea, we inquired about gluten-free dessert options as I have celiac disease. We were thrilled to discover they had a gluten-free knickerbocker glory, which brought back nostalgic memories from my childhood. We will definitely be returning for another visit.
This place is not for those looking for fast food, but it is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious, homemade meals. The menu offers a tempting selection of dishes, making it difficult to decide what to order. Be sure to save room for dessert, or better yet, try a few different options.
Cafe is way too small. Food wasn't too bad. Friendly ish staff. The cafe isn't suited for disabled people.
Used to be regulars here, but recently gone doiwnhill,. Burned food was given and dirty cutlery, Locals have stopped going here as the service is poor, pity really as this used to be a little gem. We now go to Lou chi's tearoom instead which is spotlessly clean
