The stand was at the Viva Vegan Festival in Coventry, and we tried the falafel bake, which was excellent. The portion was generous and reasonably priced. The dish came with a salad and a variety of sauces and dips, all of which were delicious. My only tip is to be cautious when carrying the paperboard and other items while searching for a seat, as I ended up with a little red oil spilling onto my new white vegan t-shirt.
I had this pastry at VegfestUK in London, featuring vegan haloumi. It was enjoyable, but it would have been even better if it had been heated.
I had a wonderful chat and enjoyed some delicious food in a local atmosphere. Everything was worth trying, and I can't wait to go back to sample the moussaka, which looked incredibly good. The halloumi served with the wraps and pitas had a tofu-like flavor, which might not appeal to everyone, but I really appreciated having something nutritious instead of vegan cheese. It paired beautifully with the other flavors and textures on the plate. My partner had a sausage roll made with two Linda McCartney rosemary sausages, so there were definitely some high-protein options available. The pizetta had a flaky puff pastry base and, while it wasn't the healthiest choice, it was packed with a delicious tomato and herb flavor.
