Big Beach Cafe - Brighton and Hove

The best bacon and egg sandwich I've ever had, paired with a delicious decaf cappuccino. My wife loved her avocado spread on ciabatta. The cafe was busy but the service was good. The bathrooms were also nice. Thank you. P.S. This review may be a duplicate entry.

I stopped by this place in the afternoon for a coffee and a bacon sandwich. The coffee was great, the food was really tasty, and it was excellent value. They charge a third less than some other places. I will definitely be returning soon for their big brunch!

We had our first visit to the Big Beach Cafe and ordered four meals and a round of drinks. Unfortunately, there was a mistake made as our food was left outside to be collected while we were sitting inside waiting. By the time we realized, the food had gotten cold. We spoke to Ant, who was kind enough to offer us a full refund or full replacement. Ant went above and beyond in resolving the issue, offering to recook part of the food and provide a partial refund. To our surprise, he also gave us all four free drinks, including two alcoholic drinks. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and we almost felt guilty for complaining. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you very much!

Hot drinks were very milky and tasteless. Sugar wasn’t brought with drinks, and when it arrived we still had to ask for a spoon to stir. Food was well presented, but rather bland. Cutlery wasn’t brought with food. The pink haired server was an absolute delight though, she’s the reason I’m not giving this place a 1 star review. The other lady kind of seemed a little overwhelmed, but it was quite a busy morning so I can’t blame her for that. All in all, I probably wouldn’t recommend Big Beach Café to foodies or people who like tasty hot beverages.

Poor attitude from barista. Food was great, just shame about the poor service and COVID rules not clear. Kids running around and nothing was said. No signs about whether it was table service or if you had to go to the bar to order. Very poor. Would not visit again.
