Feedback gevenSome food was great, some were just in order, none of it was bad. they had to get the manager to allow us to order what we wanted, but they did it with good gnade at the end. it is a little hard to find so my older mother needed me to meet her at the corner and accompany her.
The worst service for the price and eating was moderate for the price. expected a lot more. beautiful place and good cocktails.
From a small table on the very rear corner wall, which was badly illuminated/very dark when there were many other free tables in the main kitchen area in a better lighting. we had difficulty reading our menus and watching the food before us. the drinks were decent, but the cocktail menu lacked original “speciality” cocktails at the venue or something “Japanese inspired”. eating was at best very average! and overpriced for what it is. we gave the manager feedback to go to the kitchen. the katsu sando was extremely salty and the fried tofu was very bitter. the wagyu steak skewer was boiled and very chewing. not to mention the fact that, for a Japanese restaurant, with a sashimi board on offer as the first item on the menu and for $70. we were very surprised to see that the nets we ordered last (katsu sando and karaage fried chicken) came out first and we did not get the Sashimi board until halfway through. (it was also disappointed to see that some of the sashimi was not even cut correctly, it was still all joined together as a stack, so obviously the cook is not cutting and placing individual slices on each other). Unfortunately, this really ruined the restaurant “authentic Japanese” that we expected for the price we paid. most eating here was good/ok and not terrible, but still only on average for an inexpensive menu. on the plus side of the dinge the employees were amazing and so was the service. the eating came relatiw fast (minus the sashimi) and the workers did their best to check on us and ask if everything was in order and as I said, the manager at the ende really asked us to deliver feedback.
We made the premium set menu and it came all within 10 minutes. I would suggest removing the tellers to make the dinner longer (we had gone after an hour) and also for more space on the table as it was jam packed. a slower experience would have been much more pleasant. that means eating and drinking were great and while our waiter was a little nervous, he was very beautiful and attentive.
Definitely coming to visit again! Was expecting the food servings to be small but we struggled to finish everything. The quality was amazing too!
