Motion Grill - Brisbane

We really enjoyed staying at Marriott hotel in Brisbane but Motion dining had very basic breakfast buffet. Variety was limited.

1st visit to this place, I went for the Sunday Brunch. I have been to a few posh buffets like this one, and what I was able to choose from for the money I paid I though was satisfactory. There was a lot of great options, food quality was exceptional, I absolutely loved the Oysters Kilpatrick and Waffles. Service was as good as it gets. You also get a Bellini Cocktail or something like that when you arrive, I'm not much of a drinker but tried it anyway since I thought I might as well. I left very happy : 2nd Visit. I have nothing but praise after my lunch experience. The great food was one thing, but the thing that stood out most for me was all the staff working. Very friendly, very helpful an happy to answer all my questions, and had no problems working with me whenever I needed to make changes to food I wanted to order. I had the Korean Noodles, Wagyu Burger Chicken on Turkish Bread. I loved them all, I have had similar food at other places for similar or higher prices prices which were quite inferior to the quality I had today. I left extremely full but more importantly, I left extremely happy :

Nice service. Rack of lamb cooked perfectly. The steak was medium rare and so tender. Desserts were nice too. The green papaya salad was supposed to be dressed in Nam Jim sauce but think they forgot the fish sauce so it was a bit bland.

Dropped in for lunch, haven’t been here for years due to a prior bad experience. Today was excellent, very happy with the fish and chips $22) from the lunch menu, and the tropical fruit cocktail $8). Attentive and helpful service, comfortable seating. Will definitely be back.

We enjoyed our dinner very much and will be back. Freshly shucked oysters were light and refreshing. Followed by the tenderloin cooked rare perfect! Melted in your mouth. Lamb was good, slightly over cooked but still better than we've had elsewhere. Cosmopolitan on ice was beautifully presented and a great accompaniment to the oysters. Decent wine selection. Service was reasonable.
