We chose the salads a chicken caesar (pictured) that was generous and tasty and confit duck with toasted cashews, rocket, tomato and orange to balanced the richness of the duck. Wine available by glass or bottle. Satisfying to see the featured Queensland Wines, The Witches Falls Syrah (from Tamborine Mountain) was delicious. Lunch was filling so passed on the delicious looking deserts, including the local themed cheeseboard. Service was good and welcoming and a pleasant spot for lunch, overlooking Brisbane river with some views of South Bank. Dinner menu is more extensive and bar snacks are served from 3pm.
We visited this restaurant for dinner. A nice and quiet place with a nice view of the city. Lovely staff. Food was nice but expensive for what they offer. I had cherry ripe dome for dessert and I didn’t like it. I don’t like frozen stuff much though. There was only one vegetarian option in mains and that was mainly cherry tomato. It was tasty but only cherry tomato? Sounds a bit boring; doesn’t it? If you’re vegetarian you might need to think a bit more about visiting this restaurant...
Loca Vare Fans. This was the type of night that any hotel restaurant manager can be challenged by. Torrential rain hits guests in the hotel stay into order room service or dine in the restaurant you're probably not staffed for the onslaught. The staff at Quays handled the evening very well considering and managed to maintain a smile even when a diner bumped a waitress with arms full of cleared plates resulting in smashed plates all over the entry kept walking without an apology. <br/ <br/ Quays support loca vare or the 100 mile diet concept with the menu engineered around local food and produce. We enjoyed duck spring rolls with house made chilli sauce for starters and fish of the day for our mains. The fish was perfectly cooked, fresh and tasty. We finished with a local cheese plate and enjoyed the fantastic view out to Southbank as the storms cleared. All the food was really enjoyable and it's a great to see local produce being showcased in a hotel to inter state and overseas visitors.
Recently were in the mercure that has a good in house restaurant, good choice to breakfast, and dinner, our dinner was well presented, very tasty with good service, try to get a table at the window
Friendly service but rather empty at midday time bad atmosphere and average meal times. could become a great scene at peak times.
