Sunny Doll - Brisbane

I've just moved into the area and found this little place near woolies. Sceptical at first but was surprised and very impressed with the service and quality of food! This is now my go to with any friends or family when I'm craving sushi!

I enjoy coming to this restaurant with my dad when I go shopping. The food is delicious, made from scratch, and reasonably priced. It's a charming little restaurant with fantastic staff. I'm happy that places like this still exist. It's also family-friendly, with high chairs provided for young children.

The restaurant is not bad. The sushi is reasonably priced, but it's disappointing that they charge extra for mayo, which is usually included at other sushi places I've been to. It's better to go in the morning as the seaweed can get chewy in the evening. It would be nice if most of the rolls came with avocado.

The restaurant is run by a lovely family and offers very affordable prices. I left feeling satisfied and happy! Only $18 for this delicious Bento box. Count me in! Support your local businesses.

Had lunch today while waiting for an appointment at PA Hospital. Daughter and I wandered past and were drawn in by the photos on display. We had a look at the menu and chose 2 different Bento boxes. Mine was Sashimi and Sushi. My daughter opted for the PorkBelly box. They arrived after a short time and right from the word go you could tell the guys in the kitchen care about their products. Everything was vibrant and fresh. The first thing we did after looking at each other and saying wow was get our phones out and take photos so we could brag to everyone as to what we were about to eat for lunch. It didn't disappoint. My Sashimi was so fresh and delicious, as was the Sushi. The pickled vegetables were great additions. The soy sauce on the table wasn't gluten-free so I asked if they had some that was. The waitress said yes and immediately went to the fridge and brought me some (I am caeliac so it's important to me) My daughter also is still raving about her pork belly and the accompanying bits and pieces. We will definitely be going back and will be interested to try other food they have to offer if we can tear ourselves away from the Bento boxes.
