Vivian's Table - Bristol

The service was fantastic. We were served promptly, and the drinks and food we got were exquisite. This place has a welcoming atmosphere that makes dining enjoyable for everyone. The servers are friendly, and they know the menu well. The food here is worth every penny. You're not just paying for a meal, you're paying for a culinary journey for your taste buds.

We arrived 5-5:15 on a Wednesday. There was one couple there. The dining room was pretty and inviting. We ordered French onion soup which was beef broth basically, very bland. Side salad was fine just very average. We also got Cajun pasta which is spinach stuffed ravioli with some type of Salisbury gravy on top, terrible and very weird. We also tried the chicken Panini sandwich that was shared one small piece of chicken didn?t even cover the entire piece of bread. The placelooks amazing and it?s pretty inside the food quality does not match the eloquence of the dining room. The service was ok she did her job but was not friendly.

A lovely dinner. Outstanding food and energetic service. They were able to squeeze us in early. The kitchen turned out attractive and delicious dishes.

I am not if we stop in Bristol so we can go to Vivian's or stay at The Bristol, but we really enjoy both so much. The Hotel is a gem, an oasis from the Interstate tucked into tiny downtown Bristol VA/TN. And the hotel restaurant is a delightful farm-to-table, stream-to-table, garden, all that stuff. The trout dip is creative and fresh, the specials are creative and usually the best choice. Go to the roof bar for live music on the weekends then come down for dinner, and maybe go back up. You won't regret stopping over.
