The website was still active and taking orders, so I placed an order expecting my food to arrive soon. However, after waiting for a long time, I called the restaurant only to find out that they had no record of my order. It turns out that Balti Raj is still using the same address to take orders and money, even though the restaurant is no longer in business, which is fraudulent behavior. The new restaurant at that location mentioned that this has happened before, and they often have to deal with angry customers who were expecting food from Balti Raj. Be aware of this situation and don't let it happen to you. I did not receive a refund and never got my food.
We visited last night. This restaurant is now under new management. Tasty food and great customer service. Best Indian curry I ever had. Chicken tikka masala and garlic nan was excellent. I loved it. Definitely we will visit again.
The restaurant menu was impressive and the app worked very well. I ordered a meal for delivery just before 7 PM on a Friday night. The app warned me that there would be an hour wait due to how busy they were. After an hour had passed with no sign of my order, I called the restaurant and was greeted by a very rude female employee who simply said they were too busy. When I tried to explain that my order was placed over an hour ago, the call was abruptly disconnected. I called a second time, only to be met with the same angry response of "still very busy" without any form of apology or customer service. My order finally arrived at 9 PM and was cold. The king prawn danzak was disappointing with small, broken up pieces of prawn, overly spicy heat, and lacking in flavor. The portion of pilau rice was missing and the raita looked like cheap, curdled yogurt. The chicken saag was relatively tasty but lacked meat. The onion bhaji were small and soggy, resembling golf balls. The naan breads were overcooked. I would not recommend ordering from this restaurant. It was a complete waste of time and money.
I have received decent food from this restaurant in the past through delivery, although it sometimes takes a couple of hours. It had been a while since I last ordered, so I decided to give it another try. This time, the delivery was quick, but unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations. There was hardly any keema in the naan and very little chicken in the dansak, resulting in a very disappointing meal.
I've used Avon Spice know as Balti Raj in the past and they'd been fine. Haven't used them in the past months or so as no one answered the phone so found a new Indian. Today a new menu came through the door under...Balti Raj again. Food turned up minutes late. So in total we waited minutes from the time we ordered at To start my meal, I opened my mint sauce and Christ.... Couldn't work out what was in it.... Got my knife and.found a lump of something in it. Pure wrong. Binned it... Which then led to me not eating my onion salad as didn't want poppadom with plain onion and no sauce. My Saag Gosht.... Which is technically could be any red meat as it's not specified, tasted odd. Overcooked and full of gristle. The whole meal ended up going in the bin... down the drain! Will never order from here again, based on whatever is in that mint sauce. DISGUSTING
