Feedback gevenI wish I can give negative reviews. Product was OK but customer service -0. I paid twice once for pickup order (not ready) my son went in and was charged twice for same order. Magnolia bakery corporate wants my bank statement to refund me $34. Be warned
I ordered 2 Vanilla cheesecakes and 1 Red Velvet cheesecake. The vanilla tastes like cheesecake, it’s just ok. The Red Velvet is NOT cheesecake, it’s just CAKE. If you want to try really great cheesecake , go to Eileen’s Cheesecake on Cleveland Place,their Red Velvet Cheesecake is really Cheesecake and it’s good.
Magnolia Bakery's banana pudding is luscious. Made with layers of creamy pudding, bananas, and Nilla wafers, this treat is not too sweet.
Dear Magnolia, I have been coming to your bakery for over 20 years starting down on Bleecker. We always get a slice of the red velvet cake (huge fan). Normally, the slice is cut fresh from the cake and it beautifully moist and delicious. Today, for the first time, the cake was precut and sold prepackaged in a plastic container. We ate the cake immediately, as we always do. And it was stale. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. Magnolia lost some of its magic this afternoon and the reason, I must assume, is to be more efficient. Magnolia is special because of the magic, not the efficiency. -A Loyal Customer
Upon my recent visit to Magnolia Bakery, arriving nearly two hours before closing, I encountered an experience that prompts me to express both concern and disappointment. As I approached the counter to inquire about their renowned banana pudding, the interaction with the staff member was notably discourteous. Despite visibly observing a substantial quantity of the pudding on display and witnessing additional preparations by other employees, my simple query regarding the availability of the product was met with an eye-roll and a terse pointing towards a sign indicating its unavailability. Curiosity led me to ask if there was perhaps a large order that had depleted their day's supply, only to be met with a loud and brusque response that the items on display were reserved for the following day. While I understand the necessity of managing inventory and preparing for future demands, the manner in which this information was conveyed was unnecessarily rude and lacked the professionalism one would expect in a customer service environment. It is disheartening to report such an encounter at an establishment known for its delightful offerings. My previous rating for this establishment was 5 stars)
