Collinsville Drive-in - Brogue

This restaurant has been nearby for a long time and is still so great as when it opened 61 years old! Love the landscape beautiful landscape view, very relaxing even with the 50s theme, ice cream is fantastic, the prices were always reasonable, even in these times! They have roasted chicken, subs, sandwiches, fresh cuts, hard soft ice cream with 50 different flavors, also Sundays! Milkshakes are very thick! Staff are nice if they make a mistake on your order, do not hesitate to make it right! They usually have their busy times when it's really hot out! Sometimes I'll call in one order and it's as far as I get there, I'm about 20 minutes away.

The food was surprisingly good for such a small place. It was crowded, but this is expected as it is the only diner/ice cream shop in the area. The prices were reasonable. The overall experience was good, it has old charm that you feel comfortable. Besides, it is child-friendly that helps a lot.

Best place for value and good food. Family visiting from Minnesota rated shrimp basket better than Phillips at the Inner Harbor, Baltimore! Fresh cut french fries are as good as Thrasher's.
