Hisar Meze - BROMLEY

Extremely disappointed in our Christmas party visit. They crammed us in the restaurant so much that the staff struggled to get round the tables. Once we got in seated the manager came over asked us to pass round a piece of paper write...down what we wanted to eat. We had been seated over half hour before they came back to pick up paper find out what drinks we wanted. They had a nightmare bringing the correct drinks it was impossible to order another drink. Ended up having to go to the bar ourselves. We ended up not eating till gone even though we were there at Many of the dinners were wrong people didn’t get their puddings but the manager said it was their fault as they were not in their seats at the time. Then we had the nightmare of trying to pay the bill. We had already paid for the food as it was a set meal so when they brought the bill for we were gob smacked. We sent it back they came back with one for Still wrong. After trying to show the manager that the bill was still wrong as they were still charging us for various items of food loads of wrong booze he got the raving hump said how are they going to make any money….. the actual bill came to . Will never set foot in the place again would advise anyone else going to check the bill very closely as they will try to rob you like they did us. The table behind us also had the same issues.

I used to frequent this restaurant before the new management took over, but the atmosphere has changed. The food was delicious, but the service was slower and they seemed understaffed. In the past, the lights would dim and people would dance when the DJ was playing, but this did not happen during my recent visit. We requested a cake box, but they had thrown it away, so we had to wrap our cake in tin foil ourselves. They also did not deduct the deposit from the bill, so be sure to check before paying. It's disappointing as we have celebrated many birthdays at this restaurant.

Reviewed the Hisar a few years ago which couldn't be faulted shame I cannot say the same about the new restaurant the Aksular which sadly it has now become. Went there soon after it reopened as the Aksular with a complete change of staff....Service was very indifferent, had to remind the waiter several times for items he'd forgotten even though the place was empty! Food was not good and well overpriced for what it was. No atmosphere at all. Sadly we will not be returning and only wish that the Hisar was still there!

A table was booked for four people at this restaurant, but upon arrival, separate tables had been arranged. We quickly moved them together ourselves, as the staff did not bother to rectify the situation. It took a long time for our drink orders to be taken and even longer for them to arrive, as it did for our food orders to be taken. Starters eventually arrived with some missing, and our main courses arrived quite late after we continuously asked for them. The food itself was very nice, but the experience was spoiled by the lack of service. Another table that arrived at the same time as us actually left without eating their main courses. It seemed like there was a lack of organization and management at the restaurant. The manager mentioned they were short-staffed, but perhaps they should not accept walk-ins if they cannot cope. One of our waitresses, Loretta, did her best under pressure. It is a shame because we may consider returning, but only if the level of service improves. We only paid for half the bill, and even that felt like too much.

We visited this venue last night for a birthday celebration. We have frequented Hisar many times in the past for large family birthdays and New Year's Eve celebrations. However, it has recently been taken over by Aksular. We were very disappointed. Despite having a table booked, the food service was incredibly slow even though the restaurant was not busy. Our main courses did not arrive until much later and were nowhere near the quality and standard of the previous owners. The atmosphere was lacking, with no ambiance or music to create a more appealing environment for customers. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this place for future celebrations.
