Battery Harris - Brooklyn

We were one of only two tables in the place, yet we were still grilled about why our food took so long—almost 30 minutes. One of our meals came out completely wrong, and we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the correct order to arrive, which was still not hot. It was quite scandalous; had the food been served hot, it might have redeemed our meal somewhat. The restaurant has a cozy, small-town vibe, but there was no real love put into the food. Would we consider returning? Only if we could be guaranteed that the food would arrive promptly and fresh.

Battery Harris is absolutely incredible. My husband and I were frequent patrons, so we chose to host our wedding there on September 23, 2017. It was an excellent decision! The food is outstanding, and the managers, Laurence and Johnny, did everything possible to ensure our day was perfect. The DJ kept even my grandmothers on the dance floor all night! We are still receiving calls from guests raving about what a great time they had and how delicious the food was. I can only share positive experiences from this venue!

The layout was impressive, and I could definitely see myself coming here often during the summer. Our group ordered some whiskey and ginger ales, a Bloody Mary, and a specialty drink. The drinks were all pretty tasty. For food, we tried the jerk chicken plate and the jerk chicken sandwich. The plate included coleslaw and a salad on the side. Both were enjoyable—the slaw was particularly great, and the salad was tasty thanks to the house dressing. The chicken itself was top-notch. My friend who ordered the sandwich said it was really good, and the fries were fantastic. If they can turn that B grade into an A, I’ll be back in July!

Great bar! It has a laid-back atmosphere and a nice selection of draft beers.

Very nice and down to earth 90s retro surf-theme bar. Great outdoor seating area with small and large tables and ample sun or shade. Menu is very straight forward with the basics and a few frills. Food quality is solid and tasty. Overall 4/5.
