Never rushed and can't say enough about the food. Lamb was melted in your mouth like the main rib. The rest of our group had fresh trout that was great! Family style side dishes for the season fresh vegetables and homemade salad dresses and snacks with old family recipes. Desserts come with dinner and the hot triple berry cobbler with ice destroys my diet. After dinner we explored the 100-year-old rustic inn and found it as an adventure as we turned down every unique hallway. We had the chance to see some of the suites. The inn is rustic historical, so many of its functions are not updated, which is great if you want to resign in time.
Large classic dining area in Bryson City. Old fashion, good kitchen. Full wine list and good selection of cocktails and spirits at the bar. Great service. Five stars.
On a girl weekend, and it was amazing. The bartender was a Hoot! The food was absolutely delicious, we all got different dishes and shared them around. Definitely recommend the main rib and trout. Also meet for my food allergies very much!
At first we noticed how rustic the restaurant was. It reminded us to be in the mountains and we were! So a beautiful place to take a long lunch. Secondly, you must be very hungry because the portions are large. Family style serving was a pleasure. They don't get the vegetables to pick up, but what they have served was delicious. Dessert was upstairs! Come to eat this historic restaurant!!!!
Wonderful dining experience! My husband and I made reservations to eat here and loved the food. The trout is amazing and the bread, salad, soup, and 3 sides (macaroni and cheese, lima beans and baked apples) were delicious. We each chose different desserts: I picked the blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream and he picked the hot fudge cake with vanilla ice cream. We really enjoyed it and hope to eat here again next time we're visiting the area.
