J'ai Bistrot - București

We went with a couple of friends to eat there. Fast service, good food, the burgers are very good but the bread used must be improved, it has a good taste but it keeps falling down. I would say the restaurant has a 7/10 price group. The terrace is very nice and cosy, but I would like if they could separate smokers and non smokers. Keep in on!!

After a weird entry - which I loved - you enter into an interesting garden with good vibe people. Starters were good, we tries aubergine, humus, cheese etc and went straight for desert. Unfortunately the offer was quite limited from what the waiter (nice guy) was saying: cake, ice cream (already mixed) and chia pudding. We went for pancakes which were in the menu but unfortunately that was possible only until 15.00. Too late, it was 19.00 so no pancakes. We asked for ice cream - too bad, just in the certain mix was possible. The ultimate argument: our chef is German and does not tolerate exceptions! :-) it was a pity, if the German-Hungarian-Romanian Chef would have at least agreed only with the vanilla ice-cream we would have been much more happier. Chef, pls next time pls can we have pancakes after 15.00? :-)Good food, nice place, great vibe!

It is totally a shame that we were not able to test the moderately priced daily menu. It is available from timeframe 13-15.00 and the burgers etc starting from 14-> . We did get late breakfast, which was fullfilling. Good coffee too. Friendly service.

Friendly terrace garden hidden in a not-so-good-looking neighbourhood, Calea Grivitei. Do not be alarmed by the entry - an alleyway in between houses, leading to the garden. The garden is dog and children friendly (they even have a sand box for kids to play), with a cosy, relaxed atmosphere - wooden tables, wooden/metal chairs, vegetation, gravel on the ground. Quite big variety of drinks, excellent food, quick and fun service. I had a quinoa salad, a friend of mine had the house salad - both were delicious and big. We spent a perfect, cool late evening at J'ai Bistrot and we will come back for sure. Various cultural and social/community events are held there. J'ai Bistrot was a very pleasant surprise! Thumbs up!

Nice food... And very nice little garden. Service is a little slow but they are nice once they get to you.
