If we have learned to turn in the historic centers we will discover unexpected views and places, the catame is a small jewel, clean, welcoming, with many tools and objects that tell the life of the country spread here and there in the white of the garganic stone. but we come to the combinations of dishes at a time arditi that explode in the mouth, others that emphatize the delicacy of the ingredients and enhance them if you find the flan of vegetables with fondue of caciocavallo and almonds do not miss, at a distance of two days I still remember aromas and smells of herbs! . every dish an experience and a delight for the palate. and sweet. leave a small place because it is worth it. friendly and kind staff. even the chef occasionally appears in the room and patiently explains his creations. compliments to the owner for the choice of the kitchen which is very often not immediately appreciated. we hope to return soon and get new dishes. We are from home here, being our native family of the place, but only last summer we discovered the Catamè. I recommend for a couple dinner, location in its very pretty little, with a beautiful atmosphere, refined menu and not bad, very well-kept dishes.
In this cosy restaurant protected by the walls of the charming old town of Cagnano we tasted traditional dishes revisited with rare wisdom by international chef Michele Abruzzese who personally goes to collect wild herbs and the ortics of the territory that then creatively assembles with all the other ingredients strictly of the territory: flour, oil, legumes, cheese, meat, citrus fruits, honey, vin cooked with grapes and extraordinary figs and jams. Local characteristic and well-kept in the historic center of Cagnano Varano, attentive and kind service, excellent wine and food, refined combinations, the chef is very good in revisiting traditional dishes with wisdom and taste, the dishes are rich in knowledge and taste and beautiful also to see .Consigliatissimo.... congratulations to all the staff, continue so, the road is the right one, I am sure you will have many satisfactions.
Local without heart attacks, cozy, clean, youthful. Going to this restaurant you have the opportunity to know the Borgo di Cagnano Varano, very beautiful, untouched in the non-existent finishes, breath eras and past lives, very original. Catamè's cuisine is not as commercial as many, the menu lists succulent dishes, studied by a Chef definitely good. My first dish was a patcchero with ragù of not remember what with fondue of caciocavallo was full, decided, in short delicious, stuffed pasta taken from my wife also excellent, good meat, honest prices.
