Joey's Urban - Calgary

Arguably the best fish or shrimp tacos in the city. We have eaten a lot of fish tacos around the city and have found some decent ones. It was recommended to us to try these and we don't regret the drive. We ordered the $11 lunch which is two large soft tacos, fries and a fountain pop. You have a choice of many kinds of tacos and I went for fish and coconut shrimp. They did not disappoint! The service was very friendly and fast. The fish was not over-breaded and tasted crispy and fresh. It was sauced well and not soggy like some other tacos we have tried. The coconut shrimp with mango was to die for. Highly recommended! The fries were also so freshly fried with the exact right amount of crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.Can't wait to try the fish and chips next time.

Service here is always fantastic, let me start with that. The employees here are extremely friendly, and are very patient. It feels as if you are a friend of theirs when you come here. I really liked the classic poutine that I got here, as well as the 2pc fish and chips (there is a large portion of fish). The fish is battered well, light but not soggy. Food is prepared in less than 5 minutes if it is not busy. Yam fries are delicious, crunchy and make you want to eat a lot more. They have deals if you come in on a Tuesday (all you can eat fish). I hope that the staff never change, as the place has an extremely easy atmosphere.

Not too bad for a cheaper meal. This restaurant specializes in tacos, poutine and fish n chips, so you can't really go wrong! The server helped us with our selection to get the price down, which we appreciated! All you can eat fish n chips on Tuesday, and all you can eat fish tacos on Thursday. Check it out.

Went to Joeys Urban today July 15/2015 at lunch first time there was great service friendly staff and the manager was amazing Chad is his name. Keep up the great work will be going there again might even become a regular customer. The fish taco was amazing and so was the chicken loved the idea of cabbage instead of lettuce. Thanks for an amazing lunch. Get out and try Joeys Urban you will not be disappointed. I also do not like spicy anything so the staff gave me regular mayo thanks<br/ <br/ Thanks again Tracy

The fish taco I had was delicious and fresh, served with a smile. I will definitely come back for good food and great service.
