In a beautiful little village, hidden somewhere in the middle of small streets you’ll find this unique family restaurant. If you want to feel invited by a local family, then this is your place. We were greeted and served by the most charming and funny son of the cooking mamma. No order was taken but the most delicious antipasti just kept arriving. All home made and grown together with their own olive oil an absolute treat. Followed by risotto in local red wine, home made pasta with a pistachio sauce before two different meat as main course. And the top of all highlights: the very best cannoli you’ve ever had. And before i forget: don’t miss the « house wine » which could take it up with many high ranked Bordeaux.
We stopped here for lunch and had a wonderful experience. Giuseppe welcomed us and recommended the pistachio, almond pasta. It is cooked by his mom and brother in the kitchen. And it was delicious!! His father, sister-in-law wife work there as well. Being surrounded by his family gave this place a special feeling. They also make their own olive oil and ship it to the USA, so we are excited to order it when we get back home. Definitely check out this charming little restaurant in this beautiful city sitting on top of Sicily, you won’t be disappointed.
L'accoglienza di giuseppe, gentile e disponibile, ci mette subito a nostro agio. abbiamo assaggiato la cucina tradizionale siciliana. prodotti freschi e deliziosi. il locale è caratterizzato dall'esposizione di arnesi della tradizione agricola. un museo. Eravamo davvero bravi.
