Hitching Post In Wash - Calumet-Norvelt

What a pleasant surprise! I am from New Orleans but hadn't had really good fried chicken in probably a decade. This place was perfect! Fried chicken was amazing, and the collard greens were cooked to perfection! Reasonable price, great atmosphere!

I ordered a salad, which was pretty good. But the mango and shrimp sauce I did not like. I understand that we have to conserve on some items because everything is going up. but as Hot as it is, when I asked for a additional glass of ice tea. I would told that I would be charged for the third glass. Now grant it, they fill the glass with ice... Leaving room for little tea consumption. So you don't get that much tea. Anyways, I wanted another glass of tea and Eric, the server said... that the third glass would be charged. Really!!! Anyway, I ordered chicken to go. Which was not bad at all. I also ordered potato salad and collard greens.

First time trying fried pickles and crunchy spinach salad. Very tasty. The ambiance of the outside porch eating area was a nice touch.

Great place and the food is outstanding! Service is good and very friendly. Will be back

This establishment is very Hospitable, Very clean, the staff were amazing ,The Food is Delicious and seasonal quite well, we will visit again from Columbus ohio.
