India Chaat Cafe Curry Out

My family have been going to Indian Chaat for more than ten years, THE BEST Indian FOOD/ restaurant in Dayton OH. The owner, Andrew is awesome, you can tell he has the passion for quality food and great customer service. We highly recommended! Our favorite dishes are: Chicken Biryani Chicken Tikka Masala Lamb or Shrimp Biryani Masala Dosa Lamb curry Naan Samosa

Not good Paav Bhajji Test is not good , not worth it

Ordered Dosa, could not eat. Sambar was stale. Pav bhaji was something else. Not worth of coming.

So glad I saw a recommendation for this place. Had the saag paneer. It was excellent. This is now my go to for great Indian food.

I’ve grown up with this restaurant. My family orders here at least once or twice a month from here. I’m upset that they do because over the last ten years, this place has stayed more or less the same. It hasn’t improved at all or gotten worse.But the million dollar question is, how does a restaurant that serves spicy Indian food not even offer a bathroom for its customers? They have sign highlighting the bathroom is for employees only.I spent $43 but thankfully I ordered takeout. I purchased an order of Chicken Makahni, 5 Parathas, and a masala dosa. With those type of prices, this restaurant can more than afford a restroom for the type of prices it charges.As an Indian, this restaurant further contributes to our own racism and Indian stereotype of Indian people being penny pinchers ironically. This truly is highlighted by the paper plates, plastic forks, plastic spoons, overall service and lack of restroom. It feels like this place is shooting to be the first Indian McDonalds.All the food tasted amazing, but the portions were absolutely nuts. I paid $16.99 for the chicken Makhani and there was like a total of 10 small chicken chunks in there, the rest of it was just gravy.It seems to me that people on here that leave five star reviews are the people who are not familiar with Indian food. The Indian community within these reviews knows that this place is actually mediocre.I wouldn’t be surprised if these guys target exclusively white Americans for a boost in their review scores for when they choose to dine in.
