It's a lovely restaurant on the inside (it was too cool for outside dining) and the waiters were wonderful. The food was great and several of our group had the onion soup which was not french but a great flavor of Tuscany. All was good and their house wine was superb. A really nice restaurant in a beautiful small real Tuscan town. Recommended!
The gnocchi and wild boar were pretty good even if the boar could have done with a little longer on a slow heat. It was very tasty. Most of the staff had little English but our limited Italian and their generosity made the evening work. The only downside was the one waiter who had reasonable English. When we arrived he checked the bookings and insisted that we didn’t have one. This despite me watching another staff member write my details in the same book just a few hours before. When I went to show him my entry he snapped the book shut and led us to a table away from the main area while trying to make out that he was doing us a favor. He then spoke down to us about food and drink. Later in the evening he tried the same trick to do with bookings on some other diners. These had the sense to stand up to him. As stated above, things improved once we started dealing with the other staff. Based on the rest of the evening, this place would rate a four. I have given it a three because bad behavior should not be rewarded.
Great place! Such amazing food, great wine and friendly staff. Very attentive, and beautiful surroundings.
Didnt have high expectations but chef surprised us. Pork chop Tuscany stile (can be wrong name) was one of the best I ever tasted, Eventually we realized that local did recommend it to us but we missed it in the list.
I came here with my brother for dinner today. The two waiters were very accommodating and friendly, but also a bit overwhelmed with the full restaurant, which resulted in slight delays. As I'm on holiday I do not mind waiting though. We had a little hiccup with the starters: I ordered the prosciutto crudo e melone but only received the prosciutto without the melon oh well. The waitress apologised over and over again, I did not mind. The beef filet with fondue and truffles was divine (although a bit too much truffle for my liking). The roast potatoes were a but bland. Overall I really enjoyed my visit here and would definitely come back to try some of their pasta dishes.
