Osteria Pappa E Pomodoro

I have to share an extremely unpleasant experience we had last night at this restaurant. We reserved a table for 2 by phone for 9:30 PM. When we finally found the place, which is situated outside the town inside some kind of holiday village, the lady in charge the same one, who took our reservation) told us, that there is no possibility to serve us, because the previous guests did not finish there meal at time and there was no a free table for us. When we were just about to leave, she suddenly saw a free and ready table for two with a sigh ' ' reserved ' '. So, she said, that she was sorry and we can seat here this table was prepared for us. But there is no happy end in this story. After about 10 minutes of waiting for a waitress, the same lady came back to inform us, that a chef assistant was not ready to stay late and left his chef alone, so they were not able to serve us and we just had to leave. I have to mention, that it was Saturday night and most of restaurants in town were reserved in advance. There was almost impossible to find another place at this late hour. When I told this to lady in charge, she just kept telling she was sorry. So we finally left this ugly place even without having a glass of water. I travel quite a lot around the world both for pleasure and business, but never ever got this kind of service. SO, PLEASE, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!!
