Cheshire Farms Creamery - Canandaigua

This place is absolutely charming, and the food is fantastic! The baked goods are delightful, and if you happen to visit on pot pie day, you must give one a try! Their coffee selection is excellent, and the service is consistently friendly. It's definitely worth your time to come here!

I believe we've sampled nearly every ice cream flavor, and they are all absolutely fantastic. The soup is just as good. Perhaps the best part of this place is the building itself—it always has such an amazing aroma, the decor is whimsical, and they even have charming little gifts at the front. I highly recommend that anyone who visits Canandaigua make a stop here, although they probably already do! We often try to pick cooler days to visit since it can get a bit crowded (and understandably so!).

We enjoyed delicious ice cream in a lovely atmosphere. We tried three different flavors, and all of them were excellent. We'll definitely be returning!

Updating my review from 3 years ago. 3 Stars as the ice cream is always good. Some may say the wait is worth it, but to others not. My husband and I got to Cheshire Creamery at 8:06pm on a Sunday evening. We left with our items to go at 8:46. There were 3families that ordered ahead of us and 3 more that were waiting for their orders they already placed by the time we got there.Service is always consistently slow here. It may be the Creamery struggles with staffing as a lot of places are right now,however I can say from experience, service is always slow...even prior to Covid. Maybe it's a scheduling the right amount ofpeople thing. I ordered a twist waffle cone with chocolate sprinkles. The twist initially came out with no sprinkles, so Iasked and the woman who took the order didn't put it on the order. I verified with my husband that I did say chocolate sprinklesand he said yes, I did...any way after the clerk told me it wasn't on the order she put them on there anyway. This was nice. Iwas 3/4 done with my cone by the time my husband got his order of a brownie sundae made the way its on the menu, no special addsor substitutes. There were two men who also ordered brownie sundaes who were a few spots behind us in line. My husband receivedhis sundae well after those two. No apology for the delay, no reason as to why his was given to him last and not in the orderthe orders are placed. I say make your own choice to go here. We have been plenty of times and the ice cream is so good. Serviceis lacking. I think they try. This place never disappoints! So many ice cream flavors to choose from, and all made right in house. They also serve the delicious Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters coffee, as well as some fresh baked goods! Service is always great, and the environmentis very inviting. Definitely worth the stop.
