Terrace Restaurant - Canberra

I took a guest to this restaurant for lunch in the ACT. The venue has a very sterile feel and lacks atmosphere, despite its location. The menu is quite ordinary, with service being average but not exceptional. The young wine waiter was knowledgeable and provided good service, while the food waitress was a bit disorganized. The restaurant is very clean, but unfortunately, there are no good views due to its location. This is a shame as it is in a prime position in Canberra. Overall, it was not the fault of the restaurant's operators.

We went to this restaurant on the long weekend. Despite the large crowds and very long lines for food, we enjoyed our lunch because we had made a reservation. The service was inconsistent, ranging from friendly and efficient to completely forgetting our second meal. It can be difficult to find experienced staff during a busy weekend, so we overlooked this issue and gave Terrace an 'Average' rating. The fish of the day was excellent, with delicious truffle mashed potatoes under the salmon. The lamb pie was also beautifully presented. The restaurant has a liquor license, so we wanted to order local wine, but the long line put us off. Fortunately, we were able to get assistance from Karen, who took care of us. The coffee and desserts were typical of Hudsons Catering, perfect as always. Thank you to Terrace and Karen. We will definitely return.

I normally go every two weeks. Food are fantastic, fast deliver to your table with excellent coffee, staff are very friendly and not portentous like some places. Next to war memorial, a very quiet and peace venue. Price is very reasonable for the portion that give you, some dish may a bit too big for me personally but when I feel like a big breakfast or brunch, I know where to go.

While researching at the Australian War Memorial this week we had coffee and lunch at this great little restaurant a number of times. The menu had something for everyone and the prices were very reasonable. The underfloor heating was much appreciated during the recent cold snap!!!!!

This bustling cafe is situated within Parliament House and boasts lovely views from its window tables.
