My girlfriend and i visited madeira and were staying in a hotel nearby. Tried this restaurant and all other restaurants nearby, instantly were not in the same category compared to this restaurant. Very polite and nice Staff. Excellent a la carte menu, examples are wild...boar, rib eye, red Snapper, but also vegetarian options like risotto and curry. All dishes are presented very nice. Next to their standard menu, they have a daily selection of premium cuts, like tomahawk steak, days dry aged steaks, fillets and more. And holy cow: due to preparation on lava coals, these cuts are the best I have ever tasted. From the first visit, my girlfriend and I visited almost every evening. Normal prices on the menu: average of around for a main dish. But if you go for the premium cuts, prices could go up steep. Still very much worth it. They also have a broad selection of madeiran/ portugese wines in their own wine cellar. The personnel always picks the best wines to go with your dish. Absolutely worth a visit
