This was a last stop for a friend and my bike ride for the day. Its part of the Ky State Park Recreation Org. The complex includesnhikubh trails, a lodge and many other family activities

I had a very unpleasant experience due to rude staff, cold fish and I found an ant in my glass! When I asked when the fish would be refilled I was told they do not replace items until the tray is empty. That alone makes me question the freshness of the items not to mention it is a potential food poisoning hazard. Seriously, these people are extremely unprofessional. I will say that I did have a pleasant interaction with one of the kitchen staff. She is a older woman with brown hair and glasses, I did not get her name but she was decent. She was by the stuffed pepper casserole and said she thought it was good. She treated me with respect and Bobbie was ok too.

So first off the food is pretty good. It’s not fine dining but it’s good down home cookin’. It is an unbeatable value. The service is amazing. You won’t be waiting on drinks or refills or anything. They have so many options depending on the day you come in. If anything is wrong the staff is extremely quick to fix the issue. I would say that this is the best little restaurant in the area. It’s located in a state park so if you love history or nature it’s the perfect place to eat and have a nice morning or afternoon.Vegetarian options: Many menu items contain no meat.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly atmosphere with polite staff.Parking: Over 100 spots. I always enjoy their food from off the menu or buffet. Great wait staff good price.
