Feedback gevenI only had the best Mexican burger I've ever eaten. The meat was really lean beef cooked for perfection. The Avacados were perfectly ripe, and the fress are dying. The staff was extremely plentiful and resturant was very clean and beautifully furnished.
Low cost, poor service, not disabled friendly, bathroom dirty, tiny portions, no staff allowed in the kitchen wear under acceptable clothing and we will never eat here again.
I just moved into the area and arrived on a Sunday... from Scottsdale, AZ I am used to eating with many choices. Unfortunately, Carlsbad has little choice, especially on Sunday. But to my pleasant surprise I stumbled on YellowBrix... Carlsbad seems to roll on the streets on Sunday and YellowBrix was practically the only decent looking place open. The walls around the Restuarants were decorated with two-track lights and the large terrace looked very welcoming. I found out later that the building was built in 1928 and was recently completely restored. It was just beautiful inside!... The waiter, a very nice boy named Dalton, was very attentive and his service was excellent. The menu was amazing, even a foodie like I could not decide what to order. I went for the Lamb Meatballs (from this world) as an appetizer and salmon for the main course. The cook knocked it out of the park with this duck!...not too fishy and melted in my mouth!... Much to my surprise, for Dessert, they had a Gelatto bar with flavors to die for... The Chardonnay I had was from North New Mexico and was very tasty. I found out later that the Somalier who recommended the wine was actually the owner (Dan)... I found him very interesting about wine and an excellent host. All in all a wonderful experience and I can hardly wait to go back and try some of their other offers...
