Le Soufflé - Carmel-by-the-Sea

Le Souffle is a gem. The friendliness of the staff, the intimate environment, the fabulous food, all come together and make it a joyful and very satisfying experience to have in Carmel. I was unable to get a reservation when I was last year so planning ahead is a good idea.

Delicious food and friendly service. The dark chocolate soufflé was amazing. The best I've ever had. Make sure you save room for dessert as you will not be disappointed. Wish they offered a dessert flight. Would definitely drive from San Francisco for that!

Le soufflé is always superb! The soufflés are so light and fluffy and the service is excellent. Lisa and Rebecca go out of their way to make you feel welcome and every dish is perfectly timed. This is our third time eating there and every time it is exceptional.

Delightfully cute restaurant with 6 tables and souffles except for the daily special which was chicken. The bouillabaisse was really good but the beets soup was just OK. We enjoyed the duck L'Orange souffle but thought the sauce was a tad too sweet for us. My garlic souffle was wonderful. I didn't care so much for the meat/veggie sauce that came with it. The chocolate souffle was really nice and the Grand Marnier was OK. Service was really nice and attentive and the place is great for a romantic dinner. It's a very small restaurant so reservations is imperative.

Without question this is our absolute favorite restaurant in Carmel By The Sea. The Chef is incredibly talented and each dish is perfectly executed. Each soufflé is absolutely a work of art and so flavorful. Lisa the owner is delightful from the sense of arrival to departure and stays in touch throughout the evening. Becca our server, as always provides service where you don't even notice your water is refilled and her timing for table service is brillient. The room seems to light up when Becca smiles which is quite often. We just love this neighborhood gem and especially its boutique size and attention to every detail from French music and perfect mood lighting to elegant linens and dinnerware.
