The Hangout Cafe - Carmel Hamlet

Cute but small place. Tables a bit too close for comfort given the pandemic but we went during the afternoon so it was empty. Nicely decorated. Server was very attentive. I ordered the grilled salmon it was a little rubbery but other than that we had a good experience.

My husband and I went on a Thursday night. We were pleasantly surprised- place is adorable, food was great- I got the shrimp and my hubby got the steak; it was all delicious! The tostones were also excellent! They also had entertainment which was a nice treat! We will definitely go back!!

Nice decor, lovely music on a Thursday evening. Guitarist was excellent. The room however got very warm as the room filled up. The shrimp dinner was very tasty, but the shrimp were very small. I mentioned it to the waitress and she took five dollars off the bill. That was unexpected and quite appreciated.

Great eating, friendly attentive service, beautiful atmosphere and live music.
