Feedback gevenStore is clean organized, easy to find everything. A lot of employees were really nice polite. A cashier named Dorothy gave me extreme attitude for no reason at all. I let her know I was doing an Instacart order she replied ? okayyyyy and?? She could have gave me a simple okay. Very unprofessional.
Growing up in the area, this used to be my go to Safeway because of the convenience, proximity to the location, and the parking lot in general seemed nicer than on Redwood road. Over the years, the staff has gone from super nice and accommodating to now seeming like we 're bothering them and interrupting their daydream session. Specifically one employee who 's mentioned over 4 times in the past 6 months is Dorothy, with seemingly no meaningful changes from themanagement. She seems overly disrespectful and acts like her job is such an inconvenience to her. I tried to help her out by offering to bring an item closer to scan and she just rolls her eyes and tells me to put it down and sayscondescendingly it 's not time for that, sir. I shrug it off, maybe it 's just a difference of opinion in hospitality. She then begrudgingly tells me to pull up. So I walk up to the card reader, she rolls her eyes at me again then says the cart. Pull it up. maybe a misunderstanding(? Then once I pull the cart up I let her know I grabbed two containers of water in case she didn 't notice to which she responded more aggravated I have good vision, sir. No idea whatI did or said to deserve the attitude, but I won 't be coming back considering this employee has had several complaints against her and no change has happened.
I went to purchase shrimp this morning and it was still frozen, I told the guy I didn't want it frozen because I knew I was going to end up paying more than what I was getting. He just kind of smirked, that's all the had frozen shrimp, I needed it so I had to get it frozen.I figured it shouldn't be that much difference, well I just weighed my defrosted shrimp and out of the 3 pounds I purchased I ended up with just about 2 pounds and 5 or 6 ounces. that's more than ½ apound off. I'm sorry but that's a rip off, I know everything is going up in price but they should account for the frozen weight and either give you extra or just charge you less. It's hard economic times for everyone. I know it's just notme that can't afford to waste any money.
This Safeway's way better than the one on Redwood with dumb Rachel as the manager! I stopped going there because she was punking a courtesy clerk working there helping me bag my groceries for nice and little me! The employees and the manager(s) are very nice and awesome at this location! Yummy sandwhiches galore too!!!
I have shopped at this Safeway since I moved to CV and have never had an issue until today. My sister who is from out of state is staying with me. She was discriminated at the store by a cashier named Dorothy. This was done in front of my child. Dorothy who happens to be black, spoke to my sister with a tone and watched her every step until she left the store. All because of the way she looked and the fact that she used an EBT card. However I was proud of my sister becauseshe kept her cool. Customers should never feel like they are beneath anyone, everyone has their own story and to look down on others and judge them is wrong. My sister is the most sweetest person and to be looked at the way Dorothy lookedat her was not right. To be honest it is embarrassing and it reflects negatively on this Safeway. Some type of corrective action needs to take place mainly because this took place in front of my child.
