C&g Via Umberto I - Catania

Big ice cream and cake, but the baked in the morning are fab. pistachio croissant comes highly recommended, good coffee to wash it down as well.

This is a great place where they want to relax during their visit to catania. suggested for a tee or a coffee, but especially for the amazing granita with brioches. forget cannolo: it is not worth it, I was very disappointed by him. beautiful. after all

What can they say about an ice cream shop? he lived up to expectations and was close to our hotel.

I tried this C&G after visiting the one in Taormina and probably expected more than I got. The offering was as good but the staff not as interested in serving you, perhaps that is what big cities do to places?

Small place with very good ice-cream and chocalate cakes. Worth trying the C&G flavoured ice-cream (a mix of almond, cookies, cream etc. and the ottoveli (one more velo than setteveli Their cakes are also very good. I saw but didn't try their hot cones ..I think they give you the icecream in a hot cone so it's a bit like a waffle. Very friendly. Worth noting that there's another bigger, branch of this gelateria in Piazza Lincoln, Catania.
